Debbie Queen
Debbie Queen is the Director of Participant Experience at the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library, bringing more than twenty years of experience in heritage, agritourism, and nonprofit leadership in both the United States and the United Kingdom. She is passionate about designing meaningful, place-based experiences that connect people to landscape, history, and one another.
Before joining TRPL, Debbie spent nearly fifteen years with the National Trust in the UK, where she led historic houses, gardens, and coastal sites, and later served as a consultant for visitor experience across Wales. She went on to become General Manager of Sacrewell Farm and the Heritage Watermill, developing award-winning educational and agritourism programs, and then Associate Director at Savills, advising landowners on diversified, land-based enterprises. Most recently, she has helped establish the Montana Agritourism Association, supporting farmers, ranchers, and rural communities as they welcome visitors in ways that care for both land and livelihoods.
Outside of work, Debbie is a devoted walker who rarely turns down a good garden, museum, or cup of coffee. She loves to cook and bake on weekends and treasures time with her grown children and grandchildren. Having lived in Wales for almost thirty years before moving to the American West, she is delighted to now live in a dryer climate!
