David Hume Kennerly Exhibition Opening Weekend

The David Hume Kennerly exhibition opens with two days of public programs. Friday belongs to Kennerly himself—a presentation on In the Room: 60 Years on the Front Lines of History, a book signing, and an after-hours walk through the gallery with the photographer who took the pictures. Saturday widens out to the craft, with Kennerly joined by wet-plate photographer Shane Balkowitsch and Chad Ziemendorf, who documented the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library through construction. Three very different ways of making a photograph, in talks, live demonstrations, and a portrait session in which two of them turn their cameras on each other.
