5:30 PM | Barry Auditorium | $20

Haney shares the stories, craft, and hard-won lessons behind a career spent chasing light across American's wild places, drawing on his newest book, Theodore Roosevelt National Park: A Photographic Journey. A Q&A follows the talk, and Haney will stay afterward to sign books and visit with participants in the Pre-Function Space (directly outside of the auditorium).

Copies of Theodore Roosevelt National Park: A Photographic Journey are available in the Library store for $16.95–or save by purchasing a package.

Behind-the-Scenes Photography Tour

1:00 PM | Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library | $25

Bring your camera on a staff-led tour of the library's most photogenic vantage points — angles, details, and views of the building and butte that most participants never see. (This tour is led by Library staff.)

Golden Hour Prep Session

5:00 PM | Hunter Classroom | $25

Get your settings dialed in before the sun starts to drop. In this informal instructional session, Chuck covers the fundamentals of shooting in golden hour conditions — exposure, composition, and how to work fast when the light won't wait. Open to workshop participants and standalone registrants alike. Limited to 20 participants.

Golden Hour Photography Workshop

6:00 PM | Theodore Roosevelt National Park | $350 | Limited to 10 participants

The main event. Join Chuck in the park for approximately two hours of hands-on instruction as evening light transforms the Badlands. With a maximum of ten participants, you'll get direct, personal guidance in the field from a photographer who has spent decades photographing this landscape.

Participants should be comfortable operating their own camera (smartphones welcome; SLRs recommended) and prepared for uneven terrain.
