Chris is a seasoned, service-oriented leader with over 20 years of expertise in operational excellence, sustainability leadership, and creating transformative visitor experiences, all rooted in his passion for connecting people to the outdoors. He thrives on building high-performing teams, fostering community engagement, and driving innovation to enhance both employee and guest experiences.

Before joining The Library, Chris spent his career with Vail Resorts, the world's largest ski resort operator. Most recently, he served as General Manager of Liberty Mountain Resort, overseeing all aspects of resort operations, including destination lodging, skier services, an 18-hole championship golf course, luxury wedding venues, and multiple food and beverage outlets. Chris is deeply committed to conservation and sustainability, having led efforts to align operations with Vail Resorts' goal of achieving a zero net operating footprint by 2030.
Beyond work, Chris is an empty-nesting father to his son, Jayden, and a devoted dog dad to May. An avid trail runner, sailor, and outdoor enthusiast, he grew up in the Twin Cities but spent much of his life in Breckenridge, Colorado. Now, he’s eager to explore the Badlands and the surrounding natural landscapes in his new community.
