Dan Muus
Dan Muus is Chief Development Officer at the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library, leading its philanthropic strategy for one of America’s most ambitious cultural initiatives. With over 20 years in nonprofit leadership, Dan has directed major fundraising campaigns totaling hundreds of millions, driven by authentic relationships and shared values. Since joining in 2022, he’s helped build a national community of supporters aligned with Roosevelt’s legacy of leadership, conservation, and civic life. Previously, Dan held the same role at the University of North Dakota Foundation and spent a decade in strategic communications at Schering Plough and GlaxoSmithKline. A native of North Dakota, Dan is deeply inspired by the outdoors—a passion that fuels both his personal life and his work at the TR Library. He enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, skiing and spending time with family and friends in the open landscapes of the Northern Plains. His commitment to community, conservation, and purpose-driven leadership continues to shape his work every day.
