Nick Kennerly, Violin | In the Room Opening | Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library
On October 1, 2026, the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library opened In the Room: Sixty Years on the Front Lines of History, an exhibition of work by Pulitzer Prize–winning photographer David Hume Kennerly. Before the evening's program began, his son, violinist Nick Kennerly, filled the Barry Auditorium with music.
Watch Nick's solo performance of [PIECE TITLE / COMPOSER], recorded live in Medora, North Dakota, in the heart of the Badlands.
For six decades, David Hume Kennerly has photographed history from up close: war zones, campaign trails, and the private moments of presidents, including his years as chief White House photographer for President Gerald Ford. In the Room brings that body of work to the Library, where visitors can step into the moments he witnessed.
