Yes. Accessibility features include:
- Accessible parking close to the main entrance, plus a drop-off area at the door.
- Step-free access throughout the Library.
- Elevators serving all public levels.
- Accessible restrooms.
- Wheelchair-friendly exhibit spaces and seating throughout the galleries.
- An ADA-accessible Boardwalk and walkable Rooftop Prairie, so everyone can enjoy the Badlands landscape.

Yes. Complimentary wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Ask a member of our Welcome Team when you arrive.
We may be able to offer golf-cart transportation between the parking area and the entrance, subject to staff and vehicle availability. Let us know before your visit whenever possible, or ask our Welcome Team on arrival. A drop-off area and accessible parking are closest to the door, with shaded seating nearby. Yes. Trained service animals are welcome throughout the Library. Under the ADA, a service animal is a dog individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability. Our team may ask two questions — whether the animal is required because of a disability, and what task it has been trained to perform — but we won’t ask for documentation, and no vest or ID is required. Emotional support animals and pets are welcome on the grounds but are not permitted inside the building.
