Theodore Roosevelt: Reborn in the Badlands
This is a short preview of a new documentary Saving Americana is producing on one of America's favorite presidents: Teddy Roosevelt and his remarkable connection to the small town of Medora, North Dakota. He first traveled there to hunt, then later become a rancher. But most important, it was here he overcame the tragedy of losing his wife, and mother, in the same day.
In the North Dakota Badlands, he rebuilt his body, his spirit and in a big way, American History itself. Said TR: "It was here that the romance of my life began." He also said of his time here: "I would not have been President had it not been for my experience in North Dakota."
Medora could easily have become a ghost town, but -- like TR, this is a place that never gave up. Now, with a fantastic Presidential Library opening here in July of 2026 on America's 250th birthday, the world will discover how TR was "Reborn in the Badlands."
