Beth Laski
Beth Laski is an award-winning storyteller who combines the depth of journalistic reporting and research with the strategic insight of public relations to bring history to life through powerful, resonant narratives. She is the co-founder, alongside Pulitzer Prize winner and #1 New York Times bestselling author Doris Kearns Goodwin, of Pastimes Productions, Inc., a film and television development, production, and consulting company based in Los Angeles and Boston. They most recently executive produced the eight-part documentary miniseries Kevin Costner’s The West for the History Channel. Laski began her career in journalism, working as a reporter, producer, writer, and content creator focused on giving voice to underrepresented communities and uncovering wrongdoing. Her passion for human-interest stories and breaking news led her to cover major national events. As a special projects producer for the CBS station in Los Angeles, she conceived, developed, wrote, and produced dozens of enterprise and investigative stories for the station’s award-winning Special Assignment team. She went on to serve as Executive Editor at The Hollywood Reporter and had reported for Variety, where her industry expertise made her a trusted authority. Her work has also been featured in major newspapers, magazines, and digital outlets nationwide. Before launching Pastimes, Laski spent years as a corporate and independent communications strategist and manager, advising startups, nonprofits, and established brands and individuals across the publishing, entertainment, art, technology, and health and wellness sectors. Through her extensive network of reporters, editors, and broadcasters, she continues to amplify the stories she tells and champions.
